We have built a state-of-the art core server platform that is capable of managing millions of homes and small businesses with little effect on system performance.

All users of the system interact with it via a Web Browser interface. Of course, everything is secured with industry-standard security and encryption. This allows everyone from the homeowner to the utility management team access to the data that affects their lives or business from any secure web browser.

 

GoodWatts Gateway

The gateway is a key component of the system. While we use the term Gateway, it is actually more of a home control hub. Our gateways are not only responsible for routing data traffic from the Internet to the home area network, but they also keep operating schedules and historical data to allow the system to maintain control of the home in the event of an outage on the internet connection.

 

The gateway also helps with the difficult task of maintaining system robustness. Since it is fully upgradeable via remote access, it can be used to overcome deficiencies in the devices installed in the home. It also serves as the hub and coordinator of the home area network.

 

And installation is quick and easy.  Simply plug it into an available port on your home's router or use it in-line between the computer and broadband modem.

 

RF Monitoring and Control

When all is said and done, it comes down to the ability to communicate efficiently and reliably with the devices and controllers in the home or business. It’s about realtime information and the tools to make a difference.  The RF networks we use allow the system to be installed with a No New Wires approach. This cuts down significantly on installation and maintenance costs.
